I Built My Peace With Paint

I didn’t plan to become an artist.

I just needed a place to put everything I was carrying.

Back then life felt heavy. Motherhood, survival, trying to make ends meet while holding on to dreams that felt too big for my reality. I was working long hours, running on fumes, and still trying to show up for everyone else. My art was never about money or fame. It was therapy.

The first time I picked up a brush I didn’t know it would change my life. I didn’t even call myself an artist. I was just trying to breathe. But every color started telling the truth I couldn’t say out loud. The anger, the heartbreak, the peace I was praying for. It all lived on the canvas before it ever lived in me.

That’s how LayMadeIt was born.

Not from perfection. Not from a plan. But from pain that turned into purpose.

Now I create art that speaks to the soul. I build collections that carry emotion, freedom, and healing. Every piece reminds me that even when life feels impossible, creation still lives inside me.

Building this brand has been more than business. It’s been a mirror.

It showed me that I am capable of more than surviving.

It taught me that peace isn’t found. It’s built brush by brush.

People think success starts with money or followers. But for me it started with belief. The quiet kind you hold onto when no one’s watching.

I’m still building. Still learning. Still painting my way toward the life I dreamed of.

But this time I’m doing it with purpose, not pressure.

With grace, not guilt.

With peace, not perfection.

If you take anything from my story, let it be this.

Your art can be the bridge between where you are and where you’re meant to be.
